Hope Center

God loves to take the ditch we find ourselves in and make it a well.

Pamela was a single mother who had just been laid off during Christmas time. Linda was a member at a church in San Antonio that was interested in planting a new church presently known as The Riverside Community. This church was to have it's beginning at a little house off of a major highway. Linda was there to walk the property and Pamela was there applying weather stripper to the house.

Some time after the initial meeting, the house became a church and Pamela's own struggles with finances became a springboard of hope for the surrounding community. She soon became woven into the DNA of this curious new community and she began the Hope Center, a place that meets other's needs for food, clothing, and other necessities.

Somewhat like I think Jesus would; the Hope Center takes the run down and worn out things of others and transforms them into something whole and beautiful for the struggling people around us. (more)
