“Come, follow me,” Jesus said, “and I will make you fishers of men.” Matthew 4:19

And with those words, Jesus began the next phase of His ministry. He had been teaching since He was a boy. But now He was a man, and now He was ready to be more than a teacher. He was ready to be a Rabbi. And what a Rabbi. Such power. Such authority. Such love. And in a last act of love, He commissioned His disciples to go to the ends of the earth, to make more of His disciples, even of a people yet unborn.

Are you a disciple of the Christ? Would you like to be? Do you even know what it means? And if you think you do, are you making His disciples? The ancient Rabbis used to say that you learned with your feet, not your head. Disciples don't just want to know what their Rabbi knows, they want to be what their Rabbi is. He gave us a new command, to love as He did. How else to learn that, than by following His very footsteps. Not only how He placed them, but where.
